Charles Brock: Blackout and All Clear

A series of sci-fi time-travelling novels. In Blackout, three travellers from the year 2060 become unexpectedly trapped in 1940. They struggle not only to find their way home but to survive as Hitler’s bombers attempt to pummel London into submission. In All Clear the story continues. I love the mathematical pattern coupled with the photos - the pattern is spot gloss.

Only Brock. This is a shining example of the mans ability to make a dynamic, visually interesting and arresting cover while hitting all the needs of the modern marketing-driven cover.

The maths representation looks like a wormhole, the traditional method of space-time travel, AND the shimmering Net in Connie Willis' universe, so I think it's PERFECT. It speaks to both new and old Willis readers. I usually don't by hardbacks but I did for both
(well, one; All Clear isn't out in bookstores in Manila yet).
